About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is John Dusenberry and I've been working in Hollywood as an Director, Animator and Story Artist since 2010. I have a B.A. in Film/Video from the CalArts Character Animation program.

I was Co-Animation Director for the Emmy Award winning series Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey and have been a Supervising or Lead Animator and Director on such projects as:
- Illuminations' Minions shorts
- DreamWorks Tv’s Hamsters with Mustaches
- Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge Out of Water
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 shorts
- Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
- Fringe
Disney's Palace Pets
- The Ricky Gervais Show
- MetLife’s Peanuts
- Yogi Bear
- MTV's Good Vibes
- Dick Figures—as well as Dick Figures: The Movie

I also co-created the hit web series Duke of Fancy for the internet channel Rugburn, where I also provide the voice of two main characters.

My work can also be seen in projects for Disney, Imagineering, DreamWorks, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, Warner Bros., Sony, Fox Television, KIA, Fusion, Mattel, OREO, Nickelodeon, MTV, Psyop, W!LDBRAIN, Six Point Harness, and several other independent studios—including involvement on the Academy Award nominated short film, Adam and Dog by my fellow CalArts classmate Minkyu Lee.

Beyond the animation world, I play guitar, love to go to shows, travel, hit up Disneyland, design rides and attractions, build things out of wood, and raise my beautiful daughter Emma. I'm also a co-founding member of the self-published group of authors: Pen, Pint & Pyre. Together we produce the hit post-apocalyptic sci-fi series "Meet Me at the Falls" and I am busy finishing my next two novels.

I am skilled in traditional animation and adept at using Toon Boom Harmony, Flash, AfterEffects, and Maya.
